In Thresholds of Intimacy, light and reflection clash and merge in a fragile equilibrium. The glass circle, filled with argon gas, glows in a closed circuit; a visual breath between two mirrors. At the point where light seems to be captured, something emerges that resists fixation: an endless reflection, a shared infinity.
The work embodies the space between two people; lovers, friends, soulmates, where intimacy does not mean fusion, but the presence of a shared third space. A place where reflection becomes possible. Where you see yourself in the other, and the other in you. Where vulnerability does not disappear, but is reflected, deepened, and softened.
The threshold in the title does not refer to a barrier, but to a transition. A place where inside and outside, I and you, light and dark begin to move toward one another.
